Proceeds from the dinner will be used to support the council and its programs. Star of the Sea recently received the international distinction of Star Council, the top award for excellence in local councils. Among the council’s programs are blood drives, coats for kids, food for families, co-sponsoring a field event for students at the Sussex Consortium, and support for the local Warrior Weekend program.
