On Veterans Day Nov. 11, 45 Cape Henlopen JROTC cadets volunteered at Applebee’s in Rehoboth to greet, host, bus and wait on those who served this country.
Veterans received a free meal on Veterans Day, and every year the Cape High Army JROTC cadets assist restaurant staff with setting up tables, seating patrons, serving meals and busing tables from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Everyone involved had an overall great time, both cadets and veterans, said Lt. Col. Ronald Erale.
“We all look forward to this event again next year,” Erale said.
Participating cadets include Jazmine Ramos-Trejo, Lucas Santni, Adelle Trumbauer, Layton Reese, Ja’Niya Hinton, Gianna Decker, Ethan Barton, James Falk, Kamille Glenn, Gabriella Brunskill, Liam Drevno, Jeffery, Rainier, Rylee Tipton, Aries Dieterle, Justyse Deshield, Kaitlyn Gootee, Jaylynn Valdivia, Cole Samson, William Green-Sacco, Todd Warwick, Kenneth Dutton, Mara Lobley, Makaila Lobley, Mikayla Kall, Ninfa Cantu, Pincess Zachary, William Aikens, Annemaria Rodriguez-Arevalo, Jaedyn Essex Klemanski, Thad Karl, Aidan Cox, Alfredo Flores Lopez, Bryan Ramirez-Mantano, Dane Reyes, Diego Reyna, Isaac League, Kathryn Drumheller, Samantha McCabe, Janiah Maltbie, Camilla Lascono, Axel Trujillo, Tyler Holt, Tyler Maltbie, Daniela Sanchez and Elie Cerchio.
