Rehoboth Beach’s Bellmoor Inn has a new rental to offer its customers – The Bell House.

Adjacent to the main hotel located on Christian Street, The Bell House is a one-story structure facing Philadelphia Street. According to a Feb. 4 press release, the rental has three bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a spacious living area, two parking spaces, washer and dryer, and central air. The rental has more than 1,500 square feet of living space and can accommodate up to 10 people, said the release.

The renovated house is the latest change for a hotel that has an 80-year history in Rehoboth Beach. Under the name Dinner Bell Inn, it was opened by Ruth Emmert in 1937. Bob and Dee Moore purchased the property in 1999. They renamed it The Bellmoor Inn and Spa in 2003. In March 2020, the Moores sold the hotel to EOS Investors LLC, a privately held real estate investment firm based in New York City. In June 2020, city officials granted a permit of compliance for the inn, allowing for the sale of alcohol on the premises.
