Lewes Bethany Blues looking to expand bar services
Under the name Lewes Pigs LLC, Bethany Blues BBQ in Lewes has applied with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commissioner to add a bar with 10 seats in its back dining room area.
The application was submitted Feb. 15 for the restaurant at 18383 Coastal Highway south of Lewes. According to a notice from the commissioner, the addition of the bar and seating is being done as part of a larger interior restaurant renovation. The back room is used primarily for private events, and according to the notice, the small bar area will help facilitate most of those events. There is no increase in the footprint of the restaurant, which already has a restaurant liquor license.
The ABCC is required to hold a hearing if it receives one or more documents containing at least 10 signatures of residents or property owners located within one mile of the property. Protests must be received by Thursday, March 17.
