Beebe Medical Center held its Annual Health Fair Feb. 16 at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
Hours were extended until 7 p.m. to allow families the opportunity to attend the health fair and receive the free health screenings. The screenings included body mass index, blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, stroke risk assessment, depression screenings and HIV tests.
Along with the screenings healthy cooking demonstrations were held and physicians gave talks throughout the event. Megan Williams, family nurse practitioner and Beebe Medical Center’s community health coordinator, said the vision for Beebe is to have the healthiest county in the nation.
