Christian L. Dull, retired pharmacist
Christian L. Dull, 85, of Lewes, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Christian L. Dull Sr. and Catherine Flemming Dull. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Jean Dull in 1987.
Chris was a graduate of Westtown School in West Chester, Pa. and later went on to graduate from Philadelphia School of Pharmacology with a bachelor's degree. After college, he took a position as a pharmacist in the Wilmington area. Later he joined the Rite Aid Group, and moved to Lewes in 1969, continuing with the company from which he retired after 20 years of service.
He was a member and past master of Jefferson Lodge No. 15 of Lewes, member and past worthy patron of 16 Unity Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, member of York Rite and Knights Templar. For many years, he was a member of Nur Temple and was involved as a clown for the group, with his clown’s name being “Ashes.” He also thoroughly enjoyed serving his church, Bethel United Methodist Church, and singing in the senior choir for over 50 years.
Chris is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jennie Russell Dull; daughter, Sharon Medora of Millsboro; granddaughter, Jennifer Nobles; and great-grandchildren, Xavier Nobles, Hannah Bond, and Roselyn Nobles.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where Eastern Star and Masonic services will begin at 6:45 p.m. Masks are required at the viewing.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 10, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. 4th St., Lewes. Masks optional. Burial will be private at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Savannah Road, Lewes.
