So, let me see if I got this straight. BPW has decided they have to drastically raise our rates because a consultant recommended it.
I wonder if a consultant recommended that they donate $85,000 to Beebe a couple of years ago from the ratepayers’ dollars.
I wonder if a consultant recommended that they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on legal fees that were ongoing for two or three years.
I wonder if a consultant recommended that they spend at least $2,000 a month for a lobbying firm during the same time they were spending my ratepayer dollars for legal fees.
I wonder if I was lied to when I was told for years that if the city annexed land and got new customers that BPW could actually lower the ready-to-serve fees because the fees would be spread over a larger customer base.
I wonder if the ratepayers should hire a consultant to tell them whether or not they need a new board president?
I just keep wondering.
