Schellville returns with Easter Eggstravaganza

Winter wonderland transforms into spring setting
April 13, 2022

Schellville, a popular destination during the holiday season, was transformed into a sprawling spring setting for the Easter Eggstravaganza April 9-10 near Rehoboth Beach. Schellville is set to reopen once more Friday, April 15, but tickets are sold out.

As April 9 visitors entered Schellville, they were greeted by the sight of thousands of eggs strewn about the property. After a quick egg hunt, families were able to wander through the village of tiny homes, ride the Schellville Express through a Easter-themed course and enjoy some live music and tasty choices from several food trucks. Funny Farm Petting Zoo of Salisbury, Md., brought several animals, including bunnies, alpacas, goats and a calf. They also offered horseback rides.

The Easter Bunny borrowed Santa’s cottage to meet and take pictures with children.

It was also announced that starting Friday, May 6, Schellville will be open the first Friday of every month through September. More details will be released soon. To stay updated, go to facebook.com/schellville.
