Look Who’s Shaping Up at the Body Shop!- Betsy Tootell

The Body Shop Fitness Center has been serving the Rehoboth Beach community since 1989. Betsy Tootell has been a Body Shop member for two years and one of TriCoach Bruce Clayton’s personal training clients.

“After raising our 5 kids in Dover/ Doug and I moved to the beach in 2000. Our sons were lifeguards with RBP and, through them, we made many local friends. I taught elementary school for 34 years and commuted to Caesar Rodney after we moved.  I loved my job as a teacher! 

When I retired- I fulfilled my lifelong dream of becoming an athlete. I hired a TriCoach / Kevin Danahy/ started running at age 50, 1st of 4 Ironman races at 60and have done 19 70.3s and still training with Bruce Clayton. 

I love The Body Shop because of the location, size, staff and clientele. Adam, the owner, touches base with everyone who walks through the door! Even independent, older "gymrats" like me love a thumbs up and a friendly greeting upon entering. 

My tip is this: it is never too late to start a healthy lifestyle- and don't stop! Being  happy and healthy is my secret to being able to keep up with 11 grandkids and their active families ...and I am still racing!!”
