Jeanne Ann Farnan, lived life to fullest
Jeanne Ann Farnan, 82, of Rehoboth Beach, formerly of Annapolis, Md., passed away in the early morning of Monday, April 18, 2022, after a sudden illness on Easter. Linda Karen Jennings, her beloved partner of 44 years, was by her side as she peacefully passed.
Jeanne was born in 1940, in Buffalo, N.Y., the proud daughter of the late Edward George Senecal and Rita Veronica (Malark) Senecal. Jeanne did survive her brother, Edward J. Senecal, who passed in 1995. Jeanne attended Rosary Hill College, where she obtained her bachelor of arts in history. She also obtained a postgraduate degree in political science and law from Canisius College.
Jeanne held key executive leadership positions with Bowling Corp. of America, Phipps Land Company, the State of Georgia Industry and Trade Department, Farnan Advertising (Atlanta, Ga.), Thoroughbred Racing Syndication and Sofitel Capital Corporation (Annapolis, Md.). Jeanne was most notable in her role of international investment banking and trade finance, specializing in infrastructure project finance.
Jeanne was a member of American Women in the Arts, the Smithsonian Association, Washington Trade Association, Annapolis Yacht Club, and was Phi Beta Kappa. She was of the Catholic faith.
Jeanne loved sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, home gardening and riding horses. Most of all, she loved spending time with her dear, close friends in Rehoboth Beach and Annapolis. Her close friends and loved family were truly one of the core fabrics of her life.
Jeanne is survived by her partner, Linda Karen Jennings of Rehoboth Beach; her son, Christian Jon Farnan; her daughter-in-law Christine Michelle Farnan; and her granddaughter, Shea Elisabeth Farnan of Powder Springs, Ga. She is also survived by in-laws, Penney Cole and Jim Cole of Acworth, Ga.
Jeanne lived life to the very fullest, and will always serve as a guiding light for all in the values of love and kindness. Godspeed.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 11, at St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church, 401 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Interment will be private.
