The Rehoboth Art League and the City of Rehoboth Beach have partnered to produce the Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 21, in Grove Park. The rain date is Sunday, May 22.
Artists will showcase and sell their work, giving visitors the opportunity to buy original pieces and mingle with the creators.
Known for its annual events that draw discerning local collectors, as well as those vacationing from the Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York City areas, the Rehoboth Art League team is proud to present this event as another way to bring creative minds to coastal Delaware. Held just prior to Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial start of summer for this beach town, the event will fill Grove Park with tents of original, quality artwork.
Artists featured in this event are members of the art league and have been juried in based on their respective mediums. Individual artists will have their own booths along the pathways of Grove Park where they can discuss their creative processes and offer their work for sale. Sales transactions will be completed with individual artists. For the complete list of juried artists, go to rehobothartleague.org.
The event is free and open to everyone. There will also be an original oil painting up for raffle from John Pompeo, who donated his piece to the Rehoboth Art League to help raise funds to support its education and exhibition programs.
