Delaware Hyperbarics adds third oxygen chamber

Fast-growing clinic expands to meet community demand
September 26, 2022

Delaware Hyperbarics, the Cape Region’s only hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinic open to the public, recently installed a new hyperbaric oxygen chamber, its third in fewer than two years.

Following the addition of the clinic’s second chamber in June 2021, the new chamber will increase Delaware Hyperbarics’ capacity and allow more patients to experience the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

The treatment, which boosts oxygen in the bloodstream, is used to treat symptoms of a wide range of conditions including Lyme disease, athletic injuries, post-surgical recovery, concussion and many other conditions. Patients enjoy that the clinic is convenient and the staff are experienced, caring and supportive.

“I’m delighted that we’ve seen such a positive response to our healing model from the Sussex County community,” said Liz Guida, Delaware Hyperbarics co-owner, who is also an experienced licensed massage therapist and Ironman triathlete.

“It’s exciting to see the momentum our business has generated. Making hyperbaric oxygen therapy accessible to people who can benefit makes a tremendous difference in their expedited recovery,” said co-owner Steve Caldwell, who specializes in helping people recover quickly from motor vehicle accidents.

Delaware Hyperbarics integrates oxygen therapy with other therapies including John F. Barnes myofascial release, Swedish and deep tissue massage, red light therapy, and extracorporeal pulse activation therapy. The experienced team listens to patient needs to determine customized treatment plans using multiple modalities.
