Beach party marks end of summer in Dewey

Hundreds flock to annual business partnership celebration

Hundreds of revelers descended upon the beach just over the dunes on New Orleans and Bellevue streets for the annual Dewey Business Partnership end-of-season party Sept. 17.

Property owners and their guests enjoyed entertainment by DJ Manny Mann, live music by Bryen O’Boyle & Just the Tip, and food from Grotto Pizza, The Starboard, the Lighthouse, Woody’s Dewey Beach and the Dewey Post.

The Starboard and Woody’s staff hosted the bar area, serving up waters and soda, beer, wine, and canned crushes.

Town of Dewey Beach officials presented a $5,000 donation to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.

Event donations went directly toward covering the $20,000 cost of the event.

The Dewey Business Partnership hosts the Dewey Gala, Egg Scoop, Arts & Fun Festival, Kids Running of the Bull and other events throughout the year. For more information, go to deweybusinesspartnership.com or follow Dewey Business Partnership on Facebook.
