October 24, 2022

Singer-songwriters Karen Jonas and Gabriella Pasqua will perform Friday, Oct. 28, at The Room at Cedar Grove near Lewes.

The concert benefits Paul Kares, a Delaware-based charity promoting careers in the culinary arts and music.

“If you enjoy the music of Gillian Welsh, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, this is the concert to see,” said chef-musician Paul Cullen, who founded Paul Kares with James Rivette.

“We’re so pleased to showcase female singer-songwriters inspired by the past but focused on the future,” said Cullen, who performed with Bad Company before settling in the beach area and opening an in-home catering company. Each meal ends with a concert.

Jonas, a native Virginian, is an award-winning songwriter known for alternative country and Americana music. She has released five full-length records and won two Wammie (Washington Area Music) awards. She’s also been a Mid-Atlantic Song Contest winner and official SXSW and UK AmericanaFest Showcasing Artist.

Gabriella Pasqua, age 17, is from South Jersey. Her influences include indie, folk and pop music, with a common thread: songs that tell stories.

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 6:30 p.m., are $25 each, and food and beverages will be for sale. To purchase, visit paulcullen.rocks, go to events/classes, and select Concerts in the Room.
