Milton chamber urges shopping local Nov. 26

The Milton Chamber of Commerce recently announced its designation as an American Express Neighborhood Champion in support of Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26, recognizing the importance of supporting small, independently owned businesses in the greater Milton region.

Shoppers are encouraged to take part in the Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26, to shop, dine and use services locally.

Karen Falk, Milton Chamber of Commerce executive director, said, “Our goal is to rally residents and visitors to focus on supporting local small businesses on Small Business Saturday and year-round. Local business owners are members of our community, raise their families here, provide local jobs and add to the vitality of this special place we call home.”

Created by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday celebrates the impact small businesses have on communities across the country. An average two-thirds of every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S. stays in that local community.
