Milton chamber members take part in Culinary Coast workshop

The Milton Chamber of Commerce was well represented at Southern Delaware Tourism’s Culinary Coast workshop held Jan. 30 at The Starboard restaurant in Dewey Beach.

Southern Delaware Tourism is working hard to promote Sussex County as a premier Mid-Atlantic culinary destination through its Culinary Coast marketing and public relations initiatives.

Karen Falk, chamber executive director, said, “The greater Milton region offers so many classic culinary and craft beer experiences. We want to get our businesses noticed, and we are excited Southern Delaware Tourism’s team invited chamber members and me to this unique workshop.”

During the workshop, Catherine Dority, Explore Charleston director of marketing, gave a presentation on how she and her team are thinking outside the box in relation to culinary marketing and tourism outreach. In a brainstorming session following the presentation, participants discussed new and creative ideas to promote culinary tourism throughout the Sussex County region.
