World War II veteran celebrates 100th birthday in Dover

A member of the Greatest Generation was honored Feb. 2 on his 100th birthday.
Decorated World War II veteran Tom Anderson received tributes from the Delaware Governor's Office, Senate and House of Representatives, the City of Dover and the Modern Maturity Center, along with cards and gifts from a number of people. He was also presented with a coin from the Vietnam Veterans of America and a patriotic scarf from the Delaware Veterans Coalition.
Anderson was part of the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, better known as the Ghost Army.
