VIA awards scholarships to School of Nursing students

The Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach, a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, annually sponsors the Mildred Gray Scholarship for Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing students at Beebe Healthcare.
This year’s VIA scholarship recipients are Kirsten Taylor, a senior nursing student from Selbyville, and Mary Helen Waltjen, a first-year nursing student who resides in Lewes.
Eligibility requirements for the scholarship include being a Sussex County resident, having at least a B average in the nursing courses, and demonstrating financial need.
Members of the VIA provide numerous volunteer hours for fundraising events to support charitable and civic work in the greater Rehoboth Beach area.
