Sussex Pain Relief Center adds new practioner
Sussex Pain Relief Center recently announced the addition of Candice Roberts, APRN.
An innovative nurse practitioner who is changing the face of healthcare, Roberts is a highly skilled and experienced healthcare professional with several years of experience in pain management. She has a passion for expanding the boundaries of what is possible in patient care, and is committed to using the latest research and technology to improve health outcomes for patients.
Roberts is a Delaware native and a graduate of Wilmington University, where she earned both her master of science degree in nursing leadership and her post master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner.
"I'm thrilled to be working with a team that is committed to elevating the standards of pain management, not only in our region but beyond. The team's vision aligns well with what patients are seeking – a less disruptive and minimally invasive approach to pain management that improves their quality of life,” said Roberts.
Roberts is constantly seeking out new and better ways to improve patient outcomes. One example of her innovative approach is through her use of intrathecal pain pumps. This type of pump is a small device implanted under the skin and connected to a catheter placed in the spinal canal. The pump delivers medication directly to the nerves in the spinal cord, providing targeted pain relief that can be much more effective than traditional pain medications.
Pain management is a complex field that requires specialized knowledge and expertise. Roberts has a deep understanding of pain and the various treatment options available. She understands that every patient requires a customized approach to care.
Sussex Pain Relief Center is accepting new patients at its Rehoboth Beach and Georgetown locations. To ensure access for everyone, SPRC accepts Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial carriers as well as self-pay patients.
