Big Chill Surf Cantina donates $1,700 to Center for Inland Bays

May 20, 2023

Big Chill Surf Cantina recently donated $1,700 to the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays with proceeds raised from its Cinco de Mayo celebration held May 5. The night was filled with mechanical bull rides, margaritas, music, giveaways and of course, tequila. It was a beautiful day for celebration with friends and family.

The CIB is a nonprofit organization that works to protect and restore Delaware’s Inland Bays and their watershed. Through local events, public outreach, education and development of restoration projects, the center aims to preserve the bays that serve as a backbone for Delaware’s coastal resort area.

“We were so excited to celebrate Cinco de Mayo the cantina way,” said Matt Garbutt, Big Chill Surf Cantina brand manager. “This is our favorite holiday to celebrate. It was great to see old and new faces on Friday, enjoying the event and joining in on the festivities, all while supporting an organization that is important to us.”
