Joseph S. Gross, successful entrepreneur

Joseph S. Gross passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, after 83 years of good living. He was born March 24, 1940, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Stephen and Mary Gross.

The president and owner of Overhead Door Co. of Baltimore and several other ventures, Joe was a keen entrepreneur and a gregarious boss. He was an avid golfer, a restaurant connoisseur and a dapper dresser. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and he was a demonstrative husband, father, grandfather and friend.

With friends in his hometown of Baltimore, and in Florida and Colorado, Joe will be missed by many, but none so much as his beloved wife of 46 years, Ursula Bradley Gross; his sons: Joey Gross of Lewes, and Bobby Gross (Tracey) of Millsboro; his daughter, Ursula Holtzapple (Alex) of Denver, Colo.; and his grandchildren: Wyatt, Savannah and Lindsay, all of Millsboro.

A memorial service will be held in July.
