Peter Carter’s columns were like Peter Carter – eclectic, insightful and brimming with the human condition. Peter accumulated friends like some people collect dishes. Some of us were for everyday, some of us were for special occasions, some of us were chipped and some cracked. We all will miss Peter, who connected so many people here in the Sussex community. He was my friend for 62 years, as well as a generous and committed Delaware Botanic Gardens board member for 10 years. We are all greatly diminished by his passing.
