Jacqueline M. Chesley, enjoyed coastal living
Jacqueline M. Chesley, 94, of Rehoboth Beach, formerly of Lancaster, Pa., passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. She was born in Mt. Nebo, Pa., daughter of the late Fern (Shopf) and Lloyd Kreider. She was the beloved wife to John “Bud” C. Chesley with whom she celebrated over 71 years of marriage.
Jackie was a member of East Gate Presbyterian Church in Long Neck. In her younger years, she was Jenny Lee of Judy and Jenny Lee of the Carolina Sweethearts. Bud and Jackie enjoyed many decades of boating and fishing on the Indian River Bay in Long Neck. They had a summer home in White House Beach and moved full time to Rehoboth following retirement. Jackie was the greatest wife, mom and mom-mom to her family. She was full of love and kindness. Her sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Connie Davis (Glenn), and Dawn Bourassa (Brian); grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Marissa Morrison, Alison Souto, John Bourassa and Cole Bourassa; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Allen Kreider (Marianne); as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anita Dentler.

A funeral service was held June 9, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home and Crematory in Willow Street, Pa. Interment was at Conestoga Memorial Park.
