Edward Joseph Lee, AT&T retiree

Edward Joseph Lee, 78, of Milton, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 16, 2023. He was born in New York, N.Y., Aug. 28, 1944, son of the late Edward and Rose (Dowd) Lee.

A native New Yorker, Eddy was a graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School in Bronx, N.Y. He earned a degree in business from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J. His path led him to a successful and fulfilling career with AT&T, which spanned over 30 years before his retirement. In 1973, Eddy married the love of his life, Maureen Daus, and the two would spend over five decades together, raising a family and creating countless beautiful and happy memories. In 2015, Eddy and Maureen decided to make their home in Milton to be close to the beaches of Southern Delaware. Edward enjoyed dining out, along with music and dancing. Eddy’s love of life was contagious, and wherever he went, he was the life of the party. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His family will forever miss the sound of his laughter and his warm smile.

Eddy is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen; his son, Chris (Elizabeth); his daughter, Melinda (Johnathon Davis); his brothers, Richard (Connie) and Robert (Mary Jane); his sister, Geraldine Barberio; and his grandchildren, Nora and Seamus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 20, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
