Rob Fahey and the Pieces to play July 28
“Raised on the Radio” was an anthem in the 1980s and 1990s, primarily because it was on the “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” soundtrack.
The Ravyns, a Baltimore-based band, recorded the hit, and former frontman and songwriter Rob Fahey will appear at 6:30 p.m., Friday, July 28, at The Room at Cedar Grove near Lewes.
Rob Fahey and the Pieces have been a favorite Mid-Atlantic touring band for more than 30 years, and the band will play songs from Fahey’s Ravyns days, his more recent releases and classic rock tunes. Fahey also wrote “Don’t Leave Me This Way.”
“There’s a reason why Rob and his band are so popular throughout Maryland and Delmarva,” said Paul Cullen, the musician-chef who founded The Room at Cedar Grove. “They’re consummate performers who put on an exciting live show, especially for those who appreciate music from the 1980s and 1990s.”
The concert includes a four-course wine dinner, and proceeds benefit Paul Kares, the charity that Cullen founded with James Rivette to support young artists in the musical and culinary worlds.
Tickets are $85. The Room at Cedar Grove is at 32882 Cedar Grove Road, Lewes. For tickets, go to paulkaresde.org.
