The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles DMV on the Go trailer will offer services in Lewes and Seaford according to the following schedule through Tuesday, Oct. 31.
In Lewes, the DMV on the Go trailer will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mondays, at DART Lewes Transit Center, 17616 Coastal Highway; and in Seaford, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursdays, at Big Lots Plaza, 820 Norman Eskridge Hwy.
The trailer, featuring four fully functional workstations and ADA accessibility, made its debut last April. It comes complete with an awning for bad weather and a wheelchair lift, and performs the same transactions as a traditional DMV location except for inspections, road exams, driver improvement and uninsured motorist transactions. Customers in need of these services will need to visit the Wilmington, Delaware City, Dover or Georgetown DMV locations.
In its first year, the DMV on the Go trailer assisted more than 1,200 customers by allowing them to renew their registrations and driver licenses, complete title work and more. As of July 20, the DMV on the Go team had completed 537 transactions so far this season: 267 at the Lewes Transit Center and 270 at Big Lots in Seaford.
