Georgette Karen Regnault, devoted to family, community
Georgette Karen Regnault, 74, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away after complications from heart disease Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Delaware Hospice in Milford. She was born Nov. 16, 1948, in Long Branch, N.J., daughter of the late Roy W. Schadt and June D. Schadt.
Georgette was a graduate of Shore Regional High School in West Long Branch, N.J. After high school, she earned her associate’s degree from Fisher Junior College in Boston, Mass. Georgette met William (Bill) Regnault in Sea Bright, N.J., in 1970. They married in 1972 and went on to have two children. They made their home in beautiful Fair Haven, N.J. Georgette was a member of Fair Haven PTA, and was also very involved in her church, Church of the Holy Communion.
Georgette worked in the business offices of both Fair Haven and Tinton Falls schools before getting her bachelor of science from Thomas Edison State College. In 2004, she received her certification to work as a business administrator. Georgette retired in 2012 after working for 10 years as the BA for Hope Academy Charter School in Asbury Park, N.J.
After retirement, Georgette and her husband decided to make their home in Rehoboth Beach. An avid reader, Georgette started a book club at the Cape Henlopen Senior Center. A talented singer and music lover, she joined the center’s chorus as well. Georgette was very involved in her development; she was the co-chair of the social committee. She was also a huge advocate for helping those in need. Georgette regularly attended Lunch With A Purpose events and joined the Village Improvement Association in Rehoboth Beach in 2022. Georgette’s love and devotion to her family, friends, neighbors, and community will never be forgotten. She will be missed beyond words.
Georgette is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughter, Christina Cinelli (Roberto); her son, Gregory Regnault; her sisters, Michele Cox (Frank Fragale) and Wendy Schadt; and sister-in-law, Mary DiPietro.
Georgette’s family will be holding a celebration of life gathering in the coming months.
Final care has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
