Lingard Oscar Dircks, beloved husband, father

Lingard “Link” Oscar Dircks, 92, of Lewes, passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine Pearce Dircks, devoted father of Wayne Arthur Dircks, Brenda Dircks Schafer, Paul Edward Dircks and Diane Dircks Fisher, loving grandfather of five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and dear brother of Edward Dircks and the late Walter and Howard Dircks.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 20, at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Road, Nottingham, Md. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 21, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Link’s name to Delaware Hospice, delawarehospice.org; or Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorproject.org.
