Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland
With Labor Day Weekend now clearly in sight, the Summer of 2023 is going to start winding down at and near the coastal regions of both Delaware and Maryland.
But once summer ends, the kids return to school and many of us begin watching football on Saturdays and Sundays, the always highly anticipated Fall Festival Season will be kicking off throughout the region.
We're not there quite yet, but it is time to start getting excited about all of the family-friendly festivals and gatherings that will soon be dominating the calendar.

Hippiefest (August 19)
This fun-filled and groovy night is organized by the Milford Museum and is being held for the fourth year on the grounds of the Causey Mansion in Milford.
Scheduled for 3 to 8 p.m., this fourth annual fundraiser promises a fun night out for the community, with live music from the 60s and 70s, plenty of drinks, and a whole lot of tie-dye throughout the course of the evening.
Attendees are invited to bring their own small coolers onto the grounds of the mansion, as well as chairs and blankets to enjoy the event.

Middletown Olde Tyme Peach Festival (August 19)
This year's peach festival in downtown Middletown is planned for Saturday, August 19, between the hours of 8:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This free annual event begins with a popular parade on Broad Street and continues with a lineup of activities that includes children's games, artist and historical exhibits, a peach pie contest, music, food, and much more.

Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival (August 19)
Wilmington's Tubman Garret Riverfront Park is the site this Saturday, August 19, for the 2023 Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival.
Scheduled for 12 to 6 p.m., this mouth-watering event features great barbecue selections from several local vendors and restaurants.
Pulled pork, ribs, brisket, chicken, sausages, hot sauces, dozens of beers, and much more are on the menu for this six-hour community event.
There's also an on-site carnival with all sorts of fun games and activities planned for the entire family. Live music will also be filling the airwaves throughout the day.
General admission tickets for this event are $45 with VIP tickets available for a price of $75.
