All Saints’ Church members go fly kites

Weather conditions were perfect for the the Episcopal Parish of All Saints’ Church and St. George’s Chapel Kite Flight Night held Aug. 23 on Rehoboth Beach.

John Rania, who serves as director of music and communications, and organized the event, thanked Rehoboth Toy & Kite Company for donating many of the kites.

All Saints’ services are held at 5 p.m., Saturdays in the garden, and Sundays at 8 and 10 a.m. at the church on Olive Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach. A Sunday service takes place at 9:30 a.m. at the historic St. George’s Chapel on Beaver Dam Road near Lewes.

All Saints’ Church dates back to 1893 and still stands on its original site. The church maintains its original design but has built additions, including a parish hall, over the years. St. George’s Chapel dates back to 1794.
