One injured in Angola explosion

One person was injured after an explosion and small fire at an Angola home Sept. 16.
Members of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company responded at 10:22 a.m. to a home at 22843 Cottage Court off Angola Road for a report of an explosion and small fire, said Warren Jones of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company. Arriving crews found an injured person with minor burns and a small fire in the structure, which was controlled quickly, he said.
The patient was taken to Beebe Healthcare by RBVFC ambulance. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire, and more information will be provided when available.
