Mariner field hockey shut out visiting Delmar 5-0 Sept. 27 to improve to 3-0 on the young season.
The Vikings won two previous road games, beating Georgetown 3-1 and Millsboro 6-1. Mariner was led in scoring by Blair Chubb with two goals, while Emmi Swope, M’Kiyah Bellamy-Hicks and Jordynn Bowe also scored.
Mariner is coached by Hannah Pepper, with Rebecca Pepper and George Pepper as assistant coaches.
An intersquad game occurred after the varsity A game to accommodate playing time for Mariner’s 34 rostered players.
Mariner will next host Smyrna at 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 2.
