Friends of KSI quarter auction nets $5,000
The 11th Annual Friends of KSI Quarter Auction resulted in a $5,000 donation to Kent-Sussex Industries.
The Friends volunteer group has raised funds for KSI since 2013. Members introduced an annual car show fundraiser in 2015, and their combined efforts have resulted in more than $42,000 being raised for the agency.
Angela Spishock, Kathy Bunting, Linda Eckert, Crystal Southard and Frannie McQuery led the quarter auction charge to collect donated items so they could raise money for KSI programs and services, while also increasing awareness about KSI throughout the community. At the Farmington Fire House Oct. 20, more than 80 guests enjoyed buying refreshments, taking chances on raffle items and buying 50/50 tickets. Generous door prizes were given throughout the evening.
