Paul Kares announces upcoming shows
This month, The Room at Cedar Grove is giving music lovers many reasons to give thanks.
The concert hall-supper club features top-shelf entertainment and an intimate atmosphere. Event proceeds benefit Paul Kares, a charity that helps young people who are pursuing careers in the culinary or performing arts.
Shows begin at 6:30 p.m. Melody Trucks featuring the Fitzkee Brothers with special guest Joe Marcinek will take the stage Friday, Nov. 10. Trucks is the daughter of Butch Trucks, the drummer for the Allman Brothers. Tickets are $75 and also include a wine dinner.
Grammy winner Paul Nelson, who has performed with Johnny Winter, will play Wednesday, Nov. 15. Tickets are $85 and include a wine dinner.
“The Beatles Unplugged,” featuring Delmarva’s Robbie LaBlanc and Tony Sciuto, formerly of the Little River Band, is set for Saturday, Nov. 18. Tickets are $45 and include a four-course dinner. Beverages are available for purchase at the bar.
Bad River Thanksgiving Eve is set for Wednesday, Nov. 23. Paul Kares co-founder Paul Cullen, who played with Bad Company, and Sciuto have formed a band that blends the best of both worlds. The group features LaBlanc on guitar and vocals, and Alex Fitzkee on drums. The concert is a fundraiser for Paul Kares. Tickets are $125 and include a wine dinner.
