Sussex County Habitat for Humanity held its fifth annual Building Hope Breakfast Dec. 6 at the Delaware Technical Community College’s William A. Carter Partnership Center.
This is the largest fundraiser held by Habitat for Humanity, raising more than $30,000 within just an hour. This is accomplished through the help of more than 20 table hosts, who brought enthusiastic business people, and others, to contribute not only financial resources, but also their time.
Attendees heard from Kevin Gilmore, Sussex County Habitat for Humanity’s CEO; Bobby Barren, Sussex County Habitat for Humanity’s board president; Christina Diaz-Malone, a Habitat volunteer; and Natasha Sooklal, a Habitat homeowner.
