Guy L. Borges, retired teacher
Guy L. Borges, 81, of Millsboro, passed away surrounded by family, after a short battle with glioblastoma Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023. He was born June 28, 1942, in Newark, N.J., son of the late Guy and Thelma Borges (Anderson).
Guy was a longtime resident of Cranford, N.J., meeting his lifetime love, Karen Borges (Moran) there. He was a teacher at Central High School in Newark, N.J., for 42 years. Upon retirement, Guy and Karen, his wife of 46 years, retired to The Peninsula community in Millsboro. They have resided there for 16 years.
Guy leaves behind his beloved wife, Karen; his daughter, Lynsey and son-in-law Kevin Dowling; daughter, Amie and son-in-law Mickael Avedissian; and his six grandchildren, Connor, Reagan, Pierre, Louis, Henri and Kevin. Guy will be missed and cherished by many family and friends.
Services and burial will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
