Carolyn Walton, ladies auxiliary member

Carolyn “Carol” Walton, 53, of Georgetown, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born Jan. 16, 1970, in Phillipsburg, N.J., daughter of the late Carla Morley, her late husband Bob, and the late Thomas Thatcher.

Carol and her husband, G.K. Walton, were married Oct. 2, 2004. Carol was a 20-plus-year employee of M&T Bank. Her interests included spending time with family. She loved baking and trying new recipes when cooking. She also enjoyed reading, playing on her iPad, and in the summertime, spending time at the pool. She was a member of the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her loving husband, G.K. Walton; sons, Bradley Heritage and his wife Billye, and Jonathan Walton, his wife Amber and their daughter Makenzie; her sister, Tammy Roach and her husband Chuck; brother, Thomas Thatcher Jr. and his wife Deanna; nieces and nephews, Tara Thatcher, Donald Ketch, Kurt Thatcher, Kale Thatcher, Samantha Hill, Jordan Stevenson and Morgan Stevenson. She was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and -nephews, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.  

A celebration of life will be held at noon, Saturday, Jan. 20, at Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company, 302 Main St., Ellendale, with food and a time of fellowship beginning at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Carol’s memory be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, stjude.org.
