Nancy L. Webb, cherished family

Nancy L. Webb, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024. She was born May 14, 1941.

Nancy’s family was the most important thing in her life. She was a member of Ellendale United Methodist Church and a former member of the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

Nancy was the manager of the Ellendale School cafeteria until it closed. She also worked at I.C. Isaacs in Milford (Sussex County), where she retired after 32 years.  

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Margie Smith of Milford; husband, Gerald “Webbie” L. Webb Sr. of Ellendale; son, Ronald “Ronnie” L. Webb of Lincoln; and a brother, John “Jackie” Smith. 

Nancy is survived by three sisters, Priscilla Rogers (Danny) of Lincoln, Carol Blessing (Joel) of Milford, and Louise Hastings of Milford; her children, Donna Wiley of Georgetown, Gerald L. Webb Jr. (Michele) of Georgetown, James Webb of Lincoln, Kimberly Hughes (Steve) of Ellendale, and Donna (Todd) Webb of Lincoln; grandchildren, Shane Wiley, April Wynn (John), Staci Dutton (Eric), Zackery Webb (Cy), Jessica Webb (Austin), Steven “J” Hughes Jr., Steven “SJ” Johnson Jr. and David Webb; and bonus grandchildren, Paige Howell, Brittany Hines (Wally), Robert Foster (Rachel), Todd Littleton and David Littleton; and 14 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Shyann, Andrew, Paige, Payton, Parker, Olivia, Reagan, Skylar, Raelynn, Connor, Austin, Jackson and Maddie.  

Per Nancy’s wishes, all services will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, Nancy wanted donations made to the Ellendale Cemetery Fund, 16934 Staytonville Road, Lincoln, DE 19960. Her children ask that donations be made in her memory.
