For the last several years, students in Scott Pierce’s class at Rehoboth Elementary School have organized and promoted a school-wide food drive during the holiday season.
Nonperishable food donations are collected for the Georgetown Caroling on The Circle event that takes place each December.
This year, the school brought in 2,190 pounds of food. With food items tallying more than 200 pounds, Stephanie Gantamasso’s fifth-grade class gathered the largest amount of donations.
