Jeffrey Fried earns coaching certification from international agency

February 9, 2024

Jeffrey Fried, a longtime local business leader, recently announced that he has earned the associate certified coach designation from the International Coaching Federation. The ACC level certification demonstrates the earner has the knowledge, skills and understanding of core coaching principles that serve as the foundation for coaching practice. ACC coaches are required to demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development to maintain their certification status.

Individuals who have achieved this recognition have met the ICF’s competencies with respect to education, coaching experience, and being mentored by an ICF certified coach. In addition, ICF certified coaches have passed a performance evaluation that assesses a coach’s skills against ICF standards and passed a written exam testing the candidate’s ability to understand and apply the ICF definition of coaching, the ICF Core Competencies, and the ICF Code of Ethics.

The International Coaching Federation was founded in 1995, and its purpose was to give credibility to an emerging profession. In the 28-plus years that have followed, the ICF has grown to become the world’s largest organization of professionally trained coaches and the leading voice for the global coaching community. ICF credentialed coaches are professionals who have met stringent education and experience requirements, and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession. Additionally, they adhere to strict ethical guidelines as part of the ICF’s mission to protect and serve coaching clients.

Fried currently serves as a Vistage chair on the Delmarva Peninsula for a business peer advisory group, in addition to his independent executive coaching practice.
