Rehoboth native Kyle Joseph named chief resident physician
Dr. Kyle B. Joseph, a native of Rehoboth Beach, was recently appointed to the position of chief resident physician for the Division of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Alabama.
A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Joseph will lead a cohort of 26 physicians who are completing their residency training.
"I chose the University of Alabama for its preeminent residency program in pathology, one that integrates expansive training opportunities with exceptional scholarship in research and teaching. I am honored to serve as chief, and intend to propagate a culture of excellence in both patient care and education," said Joseph.
Following completion of his residency training, Joseph will complete fellowship training in hematopathology at Alabama, and he plans to practice in Sussex County, focusing on the diagnoses of blood cancers including leukemias and lymphomas.
Joseph is a graduate of Worcester Preparatory School and was an undergraduate and graduate student at the University of Vermont. He is the son of Rehoboth Beach residents BJ and Melissa Joseph.
