Past life regression workshop set March 2

HealTree will present a past life regression workshop facilitated by Maria Castillo from 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 2, at 1632 Savannah Road, Suite 10, Lewes.

Regression to past lives and the soul state between lives uses hypnosis to tap into one’s soul memories and heal emotionally, physically and spiritually. Past life regression was made popular by Brian Weiss, MD, when he published his research in the book “Many Lives, Many Masters,” written in 1988. A trained psychiatrist, Weiss was using hypnosis to treat his patients for depression and anxiety. He discovered that using hypnosis, a person could access the subconscious mind and remember not only events from early in their present lifetime, but also recall great details of their past lives. Weiss continued to research more cases and realized that people could heal from trauma, fears, phobias and other mental health conditions by using regression hypnosis.

Past life regression has no basis in religious dogma, so one does not need to believe in reincarnation in order to remember. There are documented cases of people and children spontaneously remembering past lives as well as remembering in dreams and through meditation. Weiss, however, continued to use hypnosis as the vehicle to remember past lives for healing and went on to teach thousands of practitioners how to work with their clients in the same manner.

In this workshop, the facilitator will use hypnosis to facilitate participants’ memories of two past lives and also the time in their mother's womb. Gentle guided imagery allows attendees to quiet their conscious mind in order to experience past lives. There will be time at the end to process and discuss the memories that come through. 

Castillo is a bilingual licensed clinical social worker in private practice with over 40 years of experience in the field of psychology. She received her master’s degree in social work from Hunter College in New York City. Castillo has worked with a variety of issues as a psychotherapist, reiki practitioner and social work adjunct professor. She was certified in hypnosis by the National Guild of Hypnotists and trained with Brian Weiss in past life regression. Castillo is a contributing author in Weiss' most recent book, “Miracles Happen: Transformational Healing Powers of Past Life Memories.”

Attendees should bring a pillow, blanket and yoga mat for comfort. Program cost is $60.
