Carroll Duane Bragdon, longtime trucker
Carroll Duane Bragdon, 85, of Seaford, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2024. He was born Feb. 26, 1938, in Presque Isle, Maine, son of the late Roy James and Euda Pearl (Grass) Bragdon.
After completing high school, Carroll went on to become a tractor-trailer driver for many years. In recent years, he enjoyed coffee with friends at McDonald’s. Carroll had been attending The First Baptist Church in Seaford, where he met his close friend and spiritual mentor, Earl Towers.
In addition to his parents, Carroll was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Jim and Dale Bragdon. He was most recently predeceased by a son, Kevin Scott Bragdon of St. Augustine, Fla. He is survived by his daughter, Ruth Bragdon Rose; and by his son, Vernon Joseph Jeffrey; three grandchildren, Charles Rose and his wife Erika, Emily Rose, and Aaron Rose; two great-grandsons, Silas and Adrian Rose; his sister, Linda Yoder and her husband Ronnie; and several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private.
