Local integrative rheumatologist speaks at national meeting

An integrative rheumatologist who practices in Lewes, Dr. Jose A. Pando was one of the featured speakers at a Feb. 18 meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz., sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education.

Pando’s topic included an introduction to the Society for Integrative Rheumatology and reviewed the value of integrative medicine in the management of patients with autoimmune diseases.

The meeting was the 12th Annual Basic and Clinical Immunology for the Busy Clinician, with the goal to provide a framework for clinicians on advances in those fields. This includes progress in holistic and integrative care for immune-mediated diseases.
