Anna M. Marsch, devoted matriarch

Anna M. Marsch, 92, affectionately known as Anna to her loving family and friends, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 2, 2024, in South Pasadena, Fla. Born Nov. 22, 1931, Anna grew up in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Pa., as the cherished daughter of Anna and Hubert Goerg.

Anna's heart was ever-expansive, embracing her family with unwavering love. She was the devoted matriarch of a large family that included her sons, Charles and his wife Barbara, Leonard alongside Patty, and Richard with his wife Stephanie. Her legacy of love continued through her daughter-in-law, Deborah. It was felt by all of her adoring grandchildren, Jason and his wife Kaytie, Jonathan, Jessica, Jeffrey, Chatham, Carol, Ricky, Kortnie, Nicholas and his wife Alexandria, and Jacob. Her joy was multiplied by her great-grandchildren, J.J., Kaylynn, Tyler, Charles, James, Madelynn, Kensie, Lilliana, Paisley, Ethan, Lorilyn, Elaina, Landon, Zoe and Arianna; along with her granddaughter-in-law, Emily. Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles, whose memory she held dear until her last moments.

Professionally, Anna served with dedication as a secretary in admissions at Bryn Mawr College. She later showcased her meticulous nature as a bookkeeper at Rehoboth Auto Repair. Her colleagues remember her as both a diligent worker and a genuine friend.

Above all, Anna's greatest joy was found in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favorite moments were those spent creating memories with her sprawling family, sharing stories, laughter, and love that would resonate through generations.

Anna's bright spirit and ceaseless dedication to her family remain the guiding light of their lives. Her warmth, wisdom, and generous heart will be greatly missed and eternally cherished.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where family and friends may begin visiting at 10 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Saint Peter's Episcopal Cemetery, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Anna’s honor may be made to an animal charity of choice.
