With the recent opening of Chase Bank, and the future openings of Grocery Outlet Bargain Market and Harbor Freight Tools, the Rehoboth Beach Mall is experiencing a renaissance of sorts. Soon, a miniature golf course will be part of it.
According to a Sussex County building permit issued Nov. 20, Nick’s Mini Golf is converting the old Capital One Bank space into a miniature golf course.
“We are very excited about this project,” said Dean Geracimos, owner of the marketing company that works with Nick’s Mini Golf, in an email March 12.
Nick’s Mini Golf is based out of Ocean City, Md. The company has a couple of locations in Bethany Beach and opened a course in Dewey Beach in early 2020. The Capital One Bank closed in May 2020. Renovation work on the brick structure began a few weeks ago. A sign on the building announcing the new business was recently painted onto the side facing Old Landing Road.
The Nick’s Mini Golf website also says a Jurassic Golf location is opening soon in Rehoboth Beach, but it does not have a specific opening date. For more information, go to nicksminigolf.com or call 443-953-4638.
