Georgetown childcare center recognized
Sen. Joseph Booth, R-Georgetown, visited Delaware Technical Community College Child Development Center May 7 to congratulate teachers for working to address the social and emotional needs of children.
Booth read "The Way I Feel," a book about expressing emotions with the 4-year-old class in Georgetown. The honors were sponsored by Delaware's BEST, a group dedicated to improving the mental and social lives of children, in partnership with Delaware Children's Department and the Division of Prevention and Behavioral Health Services.
The Del Tech center is one of three schools honored this month for helping children express themselves.
