Lynn M. Williams, Short’s Marine retiree

Lynn M. Williams, 73, of Millsboro, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024. She was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Reading, Pa., cherished daughter of the late Arnold and Patricia Patterson Blad.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Williams Jr.; daughter-in-law, Cassie Youse; granddaughter, Alyssa Youse; and a sister, Jacqueline Blad.

She dedicated 36 years of her life to Short’s Marine, where she served as an administrative assistant, leaving a lasting impact with her dedication and professionalism. Outside of work, Lynn found joy in various activities, from enjoying lunches, bus trips, and events at the Millsboro Senior Center to indulging in her passion for gardening, crafting, and shopping. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was the kind of person who put other needs before her own. Her presence brought warmth and love to her family and friends. Lynn's memory will be treasured dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will be deeply missed.

Lynn is survived by her three children, Christopher W. Youse and his wife Kimberley of Millsboro, Brian S. Youse and his wife Traci of Millsboro, and Patricia A. Youse and companion Gregory Wootten Jr. of Seaford. Her 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, along with her beloved canine companion, Riley, will cherish her memory. She is also survived by her brother, Denny Blad of Florida. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m.  Entombment will follow at Millsboro Cemetery.
