Elsbeth MacKay, retired registered nurse
Elsbeth "Kitty" MacKay, 75, entered into rest Saturday, April 27, 2024. She was born in Middletown, N.Y., to her late parents, Jacob and Elsbeth Telefus.
Elsbeth dedicated her career to Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, where she served with distinction as a registered nurse and ultimately as director of nursing until her retirement in 2008.
Elsbeth is survived by her husband, Neal MacKay; her three sisters, Madeline Denman, Martha Gillespie and Cecilia Telefus; her brother, Jacob Telefus; her four nieces, Elsbeth Zurek, Samantha Bulla, Shelby Gillespie and Sophie Gillespie; her nephew, Ricky Denman; and two best friends, Mary Martin-Pomeroy and Sandra Moffet.
Inurnment will be at Scotchtown Cemetery, Middletown, N.Y. Friends and family will be notified of the date and time in the near future.
