Rehoboth film festival artist submissions due July 26
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society is seeking original artwork submissions to celebrate the award-winning Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival and its 26th anniversary. In a long-standing tradition, the society selects one artist’s unique work to serve as the brand that will define the annual festival. The five-day festival will be held from Wednesday to Sunday, Nov. 6 to 10. Patrons can expect 25-30 original indie films encompassing features, documentaries and international titles to be hosted at the Cinema Art Theater’s two-screen complex in Lewes, along with two additional venues.
The selected artwork will receive tremendous visibility and be used in the creation of promotional assets for print and online purposes including playbill posters, festival programs and merchandise, with the sole purpose to celebrate the film festival. A picture of the selected artist and their bio will appear in the festival program and other media spots. The final artwork will be auctioned at the festival in November, with proceeds to benefit the Rehoboth Beach Film Society, a 501c3 Delaware nonprofit.
“We’re excited to expand this year’s festival by adding a third venue partner as a co-host of the program. This will guarantee that the only cinema art house and independent film festival in Sussex County reach more audiences west of Coastal Highway,” said Helen Chamberlin, film society executive director.
